I have just purchased an GS Adventure Rally and wanted to protect the blue side panels. A always seems to scuf tanks with my riding gear and the thought of putting traditional tank protectors on didn't appeal.

After reading this thread:-

http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php/473903-Gsa-tank-paint-protection?highlight=triple+black

I rang Russ at:-

http://www.privacytinting.co.uk/

or

https://www.invisiblepatterns.co.uk/

and was informed that the kit for the tank was £45 with £45 fitting (you can take the VentureShield away with you and fit it yourself if you wish) or £90 + £90 fitting for the entire bike (obviously including the tank)

An appointment was booked and over I went with a friend today. On arrival Russ showed me his own Triple Black Adventure and explained where each VentureShield panel would go.

At first I wondered why Russ had his own business applying protective coating and yet his own bike wasn't done.........until I looked closer.....VERY much closer to eventually spot that his bike was covered....it's that good.

The full kit covers all the obvious parts of the bike plus the headlight and TFT screen. The full kit was ordered, Russ went about cutting out the pieces required and we retired to a nearby (very nice) cafe whilst he applied them to the bike

One our return the bike was almost complete and he had done a great job.

I also notice whilst I was there that he can also cover alloy panniers and top box.

I have no connection with Russ other than being a satisfied customer so I thought I pass my thoughts on

So, it has arrived?
I'll keep an eye out for you and it ;)

Always have mine done , well worth the money and I have it fitted by someone who does it as I have tried and it works well but not as good as the pros.
well worth the extra £

Just received a full kit for my Africa Twin. I’ve fitted one before (on my Fazer 1000), so fingers crossed it turns out ok.

Great service, always get my bikes done there.
Even the push bikes.

The film is virtually invisible so what’s the point ?

Very true

It has been persisting down all day here but first chance I get I'll post a piccy.

Having seen his protected BMW alloy panniers (they looked REALLY good) I may investigate the possibility of having my Bumots covered when they arrive

Picture of the 'Invisible Plastic Protection'

I had the 'whole bike' package which includes the TFT screen.

What appears to be blemishes on the blue section of the tank are reflections. The plastic coating is as 'invisible' on this section of the tank as the white section where the camera would not pick up the plastic edges.

I hope this helps

Mike

Looks good, and as you say, you can’t see it. :thumb

Here’s a few pics of mine. The film smooths out the finish of the decals and I’m very happy with the results. Many pieces are a real PITA to fit...patience is the key.

Looks great.

Well done for applying it yourself, I didn't have the confidence or skills so I had mine fitted professionally.

Bumot luggage arrives today.....should I protect them as well?

Decisions, decisions
