1150 GS Adventure factory alarm / immobiliser removal

As the title suggests, is there a guide on here for removal of the factory alarm and immobiliser.

I have just bought a 2004 1150 GS Adventure. I'm keen to remove them immobiliser - I've had trouble with every bike fitted with an immobiliser.

I did a search for a guide on here, but either there's not one, or (much more likely) I haven't searched accurately.

There wasn't a factory alarm offered as an option on the 1150.

You've likely got a dealer-fitted alarm - mine was a Meta. To remove it, I just traced all the wires and disconnected them where they joined the loom. The alram 'box' was fitted in front of the battery, where the ABS/Servo module goes if you have one fitted.

My 2005 1150 came with a BMW alarm. Even the instruction book was branded BMW. In 80,000 Kms it never gave me any issues.
