Some months ago I fitted a denali soundbomb. The instructions show an inline 30 amp fuse, though this wasn't part of the wiring pack.
I don't have any plans to add any additional electric accessories such as additional lights, so buying a ezcan/cansmart seems over the top.
The alternatives would seem to be a fusebox control unit, such as the powerhub, or inline fuse holder. Haven't read up on the former too much but from the description it seem like it could only handle 30 amp at a time? If so, seems also a big over the top as a single purpose item?
I could use an inline 30 amp fuse holder, even though I confess I'm nervous about splicing the positive wire to the soundbomb, for fear of royally screwing up the wire and/or the canbus system.
The positive wire running to the battery is awg vw-1 wire (think its around 4.5mm diameter), whereas as the nearest inline fuse holder I can find online to, in terms of wire diameter, is awg 14, which is about 3.5mm.
All input over the alternatives greatly appreciated. Please go easy on me
