I have no power in my garage, which isn't near my house, and was thinking about getting a petrol pressure washer.

Then I got to thinking that a generator would be more useful if I could run a washer from that, as well as lights, etc on other occasions.

Anyone do this?

I can get this pressure washer for £220: https://www.parkerbrand.co.uk/petro...Wd2_6Dj-qA6XzL-ZniuxA2T4LIe50EbBoCcmcQAvD_BwE

And a friend has a 3kw Honda frame generator, which I think would handle, say a 1.2kw Bosch washer or similar, although I know the starting wattage comes into play with electric motors. I can get that for around £300. Don't know the exact model yet...

Any other options worth considering?

cheers

Look at the continuous rating. If it’s 3 kw it’s a sizeable machine. How long do you want to run the washer for? And how often? If it’s a 1.2 kw motor to be run for 5 minuets every week or so and you have a biggish diesel car an inverter might be a better option. JJH
