Just finished the 5 day ACT trail in Portugal on my R1200GS. It had some really tough and technical days but I thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Make sure you have engine bars and a full length sump plate though!
I had about 12 offs and I punished that bike hard, but it didn't miss a beat. My friends were both on Triumph Tiger 800s, one has a burnt out clutch, the other has knackered his front brakes and chain. Although I will admit to sticking in 15litres of diesel, even then I emptied it and it carried on!
Every day was amazing, from snow topped mountains to the sandy mountains of the Algarve and a few river crossings. It's a definite must if you want to get your bike dirty!!
