As per title - I can get the items I want from US for €70 including shipping, but do they really have no stockists in UK, IRL or EU? Can't find anywhere with stock of the items I want:

Or is there a cheaper / easier / more effective / more readily-available solution for getting power from the bike into the tankbag?

Did both before I posted - can't find anywhere with stock of the items I want. Thanks anyway. :thumb2

Couldn't you solder one up?

Nope. I possess neither the soldering skillz nor inclination to go this route.

Does anyone on here buy Powerlet stuff? From where?

I've contacted the UK dealers listed on the Powerlet web site regarding them supplying the parts I want. The three items I want are such a tidy simple solution that IMO they're worth a few bob. If I have to wait for a UK distributor to get them in from Powerlet US (and that proves cheaper than me buying direct from Powerlet US), then so be it, but I'd prefer to get this sorted soon.

I already have the DIN socket for mounting on the handlebar. I like the SAE connectors on the Powerlet items I want - ubiquitous and versatile. I imagine a DIN to SAE cable would be easy enough to find, and possibly an SAE double cigarette Y-cable. But the bulkhead connector plate thing by Powerlet is the item that I like about all this, and there doesn't seem to be much else like it out there.

But if there is an easy alternative I'd look at that. I know Givi do a similar system, but the connectors are either proprietary and/
or unusual.

You can have this:
Most Hella type accessory plugs are screw connectors.

Cool! So just fit a Hella plug on the end? You da man!

You're in Galway? Ever in Dublin or Cork? Or I'll pop you a few quid for postage?

Might have some of those parts in the garage. I had the tank bag kit in a box for 10 years and finally fitted it last week.

Pretty sure I have the Hella DIN to SAE anyway.

OK had a look and this is what I have

http://www.powerlet.com/product/powerlet-low-profile-plug-to-sae/31 (which is first on your list)

And this
http://www.powerlet.com/product/powerlet-low-profile-to-dual-cigarette-socket-24-coil-cable/49

So you could take that and cut the wire and solder up an SAE adapter to it (which I think I also have or at least a cable with an SAE adapter on it)

All that said, I'm not entirely sure what the "new connector" mentioned on this link is. The two cables I have are a few years old.

Just a thought perhaps.
I had some powerlet heated clothing and found that "warm and safe clothing " was similar. perhaps they sell the gear you need?

Thanks dudes.

Essay - happy to pay for those bits & pieces if you wanna let them go.

Had a quick look on Warm-n-Safe site - might indeed be something there. I'll have a better look when I'moved not nodding off.

Send me a PM.
