Number Plate Delaminating?

Do these bikes have a short first service interval ?

So den modern number plates are crap as well.

Get a proper metal one made up . ;)

And they come with a black backing, so blend in with the mudguard (hide the oil on my KTM :p) better.

Say what now???

I was only chatting to Tim yesterday about non fling chain lube and he mentioned your thread about the holy grail of chain lubes .... I nearly visited it too .... now this ...... I'm appalled .....

Fear not. No matter how many times I ask the dealer not to lube the chain whenever it goes in, the bloke out the back doesn’t listen, and gives it a slathering. :blast

My number plate delaminated when I put an Akrapovic exhaust on my bike. It sits much closer to the plate. Since I put an aluminium plate on and its been fine, it's not pressed an looks like a plastic plate from the rear....£20

Where did you get that from?

I've got a metal plate on mine as my Bodis exhaust likes to melt the plastic plates :)

Got mine from here, road legal, and looks like a stock plastic plate from the rear, without pressing or raised lettering.

My R1150R (Y + remus) had the tendency to melt the rear left indicator. Italian plates are made of metal, so no biggie there.
It then started melting the panniers too, and that has been a massive pain in the arse.

My (UK plated) GSA blackened the indicator over time, but the plate is still in pretty good conditions...

Just ordered an aluminium plate to see if that solves the problem

Mike

Aluminium plate now fitted. Supplied by http://www.number1plates.com/

It's actually about 0.25in smaller in both directions than the ones fitted by the dealer which were a massive 7.5in (H) x 9.5in (W)

Let's see how this one goes!

Well if that does not work, stick some sausages on your pipes and if they are cooked in less than 2 minutes, exhaust is to hot.

Ok im leaving.............:bomb

I also have a peeling plate, bottom right corner, Euro 4, post Brexit.
Can I assume Michel Barnier and Angela Merkel are to blame?
