I'm taking my suspension units up to rev's racing for a set of ESA Wilbers.

Can anyone provide to a link for a walkthrough for removing and replacing the shocks, John seemed to suggest that this job was more complicated on an R than a GS, I've no idea why, but he is saying that they will do a GS in a day, but with an R its an overnight job.

Thanks for any help.

Charles

As easy as on a GS.All I did take is the tank off and removed the rear wheel to make it easier to swap the front shock and have enough clearance. And I adjusted the length adjuster on the rear Ohlins as far out as I could and still use the centerstand which quickened up steering quite a bit !

Thanks for the info,
So rear first then front?
Supporting jack under sump
Do I need to remove front wheel?

Did the rear first with rear wheel off. Then the front.Rear wheel off gives you enough room to get the front shock off tilting the bike on the centerstand..Front wheel stays on.Take the muffler off too...couple hours taking it easy.

Use a strap between the centre stand and the front wheel (or exhaust cross piece when no front wheel ) to prevent the bike possibly tipping forward and collapsing the stand
