A mate of mine has a cracked screen on his Nav6. It still functions but does some ‘odd things’ due to the crack being right across the screen.

I realise these are re-badged Garmin units, will Garmin replace it for a fee or does he have to deal with BMW?

Has anyone successfully had one repaired?

Garmin, go to Garmin or one of the companies offering repairs.

He could even DIY; find the equivalent Garmin device, odds-on someone will have replaced the screen and made a video of how to do it.

Had a TomTom repaired from a specialist Sat Nav repair company - fixed price, select your model select your damage and post or drop in - repair done same day.

Did google search to locate place in London - no issues, dropped in and picked up 4 hours later

What is the equivalent Garmin unit to the Nav6?

Hi Paul,

I stupidly put my Nav V in my topbox a couple of years ago without the case. Then rode 20 miles before I realised and the screen was scratched to death. I popped it in to the local phone repair place on the high street and he said he could sort out for me, think it was £50, cash of course, but worked fine ever since new screen fitted.
