Hi, I want to replace the rear pads on my r1200 GS Adventure. Can anyone tell me the part number as I can;t find them anywhere except on motorrad website at £67.
Looked in the parts fiche but not joy

Not really Smogbob, there are two different types. Other than taking mine off first and measuring them I have no idea which are correct, and the 2017 does not show.

Was just about to ask the same question after being quoted £80 by the dealer for new pads while it was in for a service.

Want to fit the OEM pads, are they the Brembo ones which are fitted from the factory?

I've used them on other bikes with good experience I've just heard (probably rubbish) that because they are linked brakes you should use the same compound in all pads front and rear.

Contact James Sherlock on,t tinterweb. They supply the Brembo oem equivalent.

Thanks all, went with the EBC in the end. They seem fine. (Although I did have a panic about needing the GS-911 to flush the servo!)
Looks like the ESP uses the rear break a lot which I guess is why its worn so quickly.
Maybe Enduro Pro mode for the road from now on:)

You don’t really need to worry about the fluid if your just changing pads, just watch the fluid level rise as you push the pistons back (if the fluids been topped up as the pads have worn guess where it’ll go when you push the pistons back). Also, you can still bleed the brakes with purging the ABS, obviously it’s better if you do but not essential.

What a mess

Now ok I’m not the biggest bike cleaner and they were dirty ... but 3000 miles !!

Forget the wear ... but the state of the metal ... looks like they have been shot blast with metal fillings

Pictures are after a clean up ... but I still think I’m going to replace them ... £60 from dealer is steep tho :(

Mr thebuyer. You took it out too soon, there is still a few miles left in them pads :D

There isn't much more friction material on new pads...

I fitted Ferrodo Platinum to mine,

The rear Brembo's had about 3mm left on them, the new ones 7mm

Ive got them on the front too, hence the change to the rears
