Loctite 262 threadlocker alternative? Sprocket carrier nut, manual says use this......200Nm, lock spring and Loctite...overkill?!

I'd just buy the right thing.

I'm not sure i have a torque wrench that goes to 200Nm though.

I thought everyone had a calibrated scaffold pole?

For sprocket nuts I just use a bit of threadlock and fire them up with a 1/2” cordless impact gun. Removal involves a bit of heat to crack the Loctite then another hit with the impact gun. I’ve never had one come loose, never failed to remove one and never needed to wedge anything between the spokes and the swinging arm but I always sell the bike before the damage to the gearbox becomes apparent.

Don’t do this with cheap sockets though because they have a tendency to split 👎
