Hi All,
Had an enjoyable wait by the roadside today while a mate came and recovered me and the bike. EWS Ring Antenna fault and bike wouldn't start.
Then spent quite a while on the Internet and found loads about Ring Antenna problems.
But I can't find how to actually remove the old one.
Ordered a new one so getting ready for it's arrival.
Can any clever person help me out here.?
Cheers in advance.

Ok folks - to answer my own question.....

Using a 5 point Security Torx Bit, remove the 2 security bolts.
Lift up whole switch piece.
Undo 2 small "normal" Torx.
Carefully remove Ring Antenna.
JOB DONE :bounce1

What is a ring antenna and what does it do?

Its an immobeliser that stops the engine running unless the correct key / transponder is in the ignition.
When the ring Antenna goes west, you can't start the engine..

Your ignition key is chipped/coded to the ecu the antennae ring looks for/senses this when you put the key in and de-activates the immobiliser etc usually referred to as a ring cos its round and located around the ignition switch.
