I took my recently completed XT500 for a spin this afternoon, went up onto the mountains above Pontardulais to have a look at the new wind farm that’s being built.
I’m hoping to get up there to take a few photos of the towers being erected and the blades put into position.

I bought it as an older restoration, it needed some finishing touches, rear light assembly, indicators, the engine was painted all black so I picked out the edges of the fins etc, it pulls like a tractor from nothing.
One of my other projects is a 1975 DT175 all original ,great patina so I’m not touching it.

The XT always did look right from day one, love it, thanks for the piccy.
 
You do realise this is killing me, don't you?

I spent my formative years staring at this poster on my bedroom wall. You never forget those bikes do you?

There is something about that DT range and the XT500 that is just “Right” I don’t know what it is, but it’s something Honda Suzuki and Kawasaki ,in my opinion never got right.
