Play in my right disc prompted me to order 10 of these wave washers from James Sherlock: http://www.james-sherlock.co.uk/sho...ront/brake-disc-mounting-sprung-washer-detail

Turns out that while there is lateral play, there's also vertical/fore-aft play, so I don't imagine wave washers will address that. Yes I'm a muppet for not spotting that before.

So I now think it's the bobbins that need to be replaced. Is it de rigueur to replace the bolts too?

With the 10 x wave washers I've already bought, if I now buy 10 x bolts (https://james-sherlock.co.uk/shop/r...ittings-front/brake-disc-mounting-bolt-detail) and 10 x bobbins (http://james-sherlock.co.uk/shop/r8...tings-front/brake-disc-mounting-bobbin-detail) this will effectively create 2 of this kit (which is what I guess I should have bought in the first place :blast): https://james-sherlock.co.uk/shop/r...c-fittings-front/brake-disc-repair-kit-detail

Until I do use those replacement mounting bits, I presume I won't know if the holes in the discs that the bobbins fit into are worn too? If the new bobbins don't eliminate the play, do I need new discs? My discs seem grand - still as thick as if they were new, with no scoring.

you can also rotate the existing bobbins 90 degrees so that the worn flat spots are no longer at the mating face. may have already been done though. personally i would just replace given the relatively low cost.

Absolutely will replace bobbins, bolts & wave washers. My concern is that it could be the holes in the discs that could be worn rather than the bobbins - is this common?

Thanks for that ebay link. :thumb2
