R80 g/s not charging help

My R80gs is not charging ,the battery light is constantly on but does go out if you Rev it high?
Checked the brushes and the light goes out with one removed?

Any more help greatly appreciated

Difficult from a distance "but" Brush length not long enough hence not keeping brush firmly on the slip rings

Corrosion in plug at regulator unit ??
