Hi all,

Does anyone know if you can get some sort of blanking plates for where the visor mechanism use to be for a Shoei Neotec as I’ve bought a new Neotec 2 and I’ve removed my chin piece on my old one to use it as an open face on my C1 as it get very hot with a full face in the sun as no air movement behind the screen. Normal chin piece smacks against the frame so that’s a no goer. Just to tidy it up a bit

No idea why photos uploaded sideways. Lol. Apologies for posting in incorrect place. Thanks for moving.

Can't help with your question but I'm pretty sure the Neotec doesn't conform to the CE etc certification requirements without the chin piece fitted and closed.

I think you’re right but I’m not overly concerned as the c1 has a complete cage built in and it’s only the UK and Finland where you need to wear a helmet anyway. The new Neotec 2 is though so when I get a new new lid I’ll be sorted. :)

I’m curious, for all the hassle of ‘converting’ your Neotec, wouldn’t it be as easy to buy a simple and reasonably cheap open face helmet?

You could probably fashion something out of Kydex which is malleable when heated as its used for knife sheaths.

Took 5 mins and didn’t cost a penny. :)
