Assuming you have already got the screen size you like from the Windozz PC why not just add an iMac mini? No other changes needed.

I am a fan of buying refurb’d/shop soiled machines direct from Apple. I’ve had phones, iPads and a 27” Mac. Apple do not let these things out of their sight without being perfect and the warranty is as good as a new one.

You don’t have to use Apple memory.
    Check out someone like Crucial.

I think the refurbs are only 1 year warranty and funnily enough I was looking at that earlier. I'd probably go for the similar with the 2TB drive for £240 less as I'm not sure I'll benefit from the flash over the fusion?

You’re right 1 year warranty (though that wouldn’t bother me. I’d agree a 2 TB fusion drive would be a better choice than a smaller SSD.

I think they only offered one year when I bought my kit!

27” iMac now 6 years old and I’ve upgraded to 32Mb of memory and a 1Tb SSD. Brilliant!

Not sure I would bother with as much hard drive memory again as since I have been ‘appletised’ I’ve got everything in the cloud and it makes life so much easier.

Final Question? One other issue is that if it does fail I then have a 100 mile round trip to my apple store and a day taking it but 10 miles to currys. Do I just buy one locally and pay the £100 more but only get 1TB drive but the newer graphics card?
