Its not mate, but a quick check on DVLA tells you that WMH 536, 1951 Vincent Comet series C is still around! I could look up who now has it on the Vincent forum if you like?? Let me know mate.

Yes please ... last I heard it's now fitted 1000cc twin engine.

Maybe the current owner would like a copy of the photograph of my mum, C1956

As far as I know, it was the Grey Flash, Vincents 500cc equivalent of the then 1000cc Black Lightning (?)
With large 150mph 'in ya face' speedo, production racer?

I remember being offered a Vincent Rapide for £55 in about 1968 . . . I couldn't afford it :blast.

Enjoy the Comet, I remember struggling to keep up with one on the VMCC Saundersfoot run, my Ariel Square Four was being worked hard!
