No you need the parts from another evo box with the higher 6th iirc.
All you need is 2 6th gears. One from the intermediate shaft (10 ton press required) and the other from the output shaft (easy to swap in any home shop)I have a GSA with the low 6th. I did a 15hr straight run back from the Black Forest (1000KM) and it wasn't happy cruising above 75/80mph. Is a standard GS gearbox all that's needed for parts (excluding a load of skill) or am I missing something?

Considering these bikes are around 15yrs old, .
so what sort of rpm you running at when doing 70mph now.I just finished one. I had a std GS trans "GAE" and put the tall 6th from it into an EVO GSA "JAL"
The low 1st is really nice especially for two up loaded uphill starts. Not to mention offroad use.
Just think..... 15 years of saving £5 (even more nowadays) on each fill up.
That's a lot of money.
