I’ve decided to take the plunge and leave my zumo off my new bike and instead use my galaxy note 8. I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice for mounts etc? Quadlock don’t do anything, ram mounts don’t appear to offer a decent solution. Found one mount for £120 which seemed rather steep,
Any other solutions about or do I need to go for a five quid jobbie?
Cheers in advance
Dan

I use a RAM X-Grip for my S9. Holds it really firmly. For added assurance they's a rubber clamp thing that means it's not going anywhere.

Cheers for that. I like the look of that. I’d like to screw it into the clamp on top of the forks so presumably you have to buy the bolts for that, they don’t come with it.

There's a lot of different mounts available, I use one on my clutch reservoir, you then need the connector that goes between the ball on the mount and the one on the back of the X-Grip.

Take a look at the RAM-HOL-AP18 mount. I have 2 of them used on different bikes.
They are spring loaded and have eight arms to hold the phone.
I used to use it in conjunction with my old galaxy note 3 and it never budged.

The photos don't show all the arms by the way.

Cheers chaps. I bought an iPhone and then got an x-grip. It would have fitted the note though doh!
