Hi chaps,
Quicky question, what’s the top end value of a restored
95/96 1000 leman,
Is it a mk 3 or 4?
Handle bar mount fairing, with the small triangle bits to blend it in below the tank.
Same as this one
Just wondering if there is enough meat in the deal to restore the bike.
Btw it’s not this one:thumby:

MK 111 was an 850cc

Looks like a 1000 MK4 sometimes called a 1000 S

There is a MK 4 on eBay at £3200 & only 21k miles eBay no - 163200497223

Although 95 - 96 should make it a MK5 but wrong fairing.
As MK5 had a 1 piece fairing.

Le Mans 1000 CI 1988 - 1993
Sometimes called the Le Mans Mark V NT - final model Le Mans. ( until the V 11 in 2003 - 2004 )

£3k - £6k

A 1995 - 96 registered bike could of sat somewhere as guzzi were famous for making loads & then storing
Them, Coburn & Hughes made various specials when they didn't sell in stock form / colour's.
Probably 3X did the same when they were importers.

All i know is to beware of 16" front wheels.
A lot of people dont like them and it devalues the Bike.
No experience myself / just passing it on.

The mk5 was a decent bike to ride with the frame mounted fairing, I had a black one with gold wheels. Mirrors were crap mind, also clocks lights & switchgear not the best.
Overall I liked it a lot !

Obviously the mk1 is now silly money and mk11 are getting to £6k in good condition as most have or will be converted into mk1 replica's.
Mk 3 - mk5 don't yet attract big money and will normally be around £4 / £5k. I bought a mk5 final edition for mid £4k. I recently sold my mk11 / mk1 convert in mint condition for £7k.
After the mk1 the big money is in the 1000S mk1 or mk2. The S model is not the leman mk4 but a non-faired naked in black with broad orange lines. The S mk1 with wire wheels £10k the mk2 mint £8k. The mk2 had the lower spec and softer cam engine with 36mm carbs after the first of the EU emissions laws. The mk1 was the leman enging with full blown 40mm carbs. Looking similar the mk2 has a chrome instrument pod.
These are the bikes below.

No 92 of 100 made (99 made actually as there was a bidding war for no 100 so they didn’t make it) unfortunately I sold it to fund my 100gs. Why can’t we have everything

I’m sure there were plenty of mk5 Le Mans produced ! These were a popular bike in the 90s when I had mine !

Moto Guzzi LeMans Ultima Edizione 1994. 99 made as a run out model and the last of the Mk5. Basically the 5 but all in red.
