Saved from the hipsters

And don’t forget the grub screws....!!!

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
When I stripped my GS wheel spokes with an angle grinder, there were no grub screws in the nipples, so I haven’t put any in the new nipples, Should I be looking at fitting some.

In my humble opinion, yes. They are there for a reason, and BMW wouldn’t waste their time or money fitting them if they weren’t necessary!
They are there to stop the spokes vibrating loose, and intrinsic to the tension and safety and integrity of the wheel.
To me, that’s important, but people must form their own opinions.
Mike is going to be fitting grub screws to the wheel he sold me, for the reasons stated above- a pretty important detail to my mind.

The rear wheel was a total bastard.:comfort
Took about two hours to get apart.
Each spoke and nipple had to be drifted out:blast

Proff with is 'ammer would have had that stud out in two minutes flat ! :D
There was no hammering the stud out, would have just turned it into an oversized rivet.
It didn’t put up too much of a fight to mistacats mill though:D

I think the Hipsters have staged a sit-in to stop Mikeyboy getting anything done
Plenty of stuff going on !
Just not all in my workshop.
The tank is at pro strip being acid dipped.
The panel work is all with the painter.
All of the metal work is at the powder coaters.
The engine, gearbox and bevel are all being prepped for rebuild.
The wheels are being rebuilt as I type.:D
