What a day. Got up early this morning to get our of Poznan before the traffic got worse. I shouldn't have bothered. The road to Pila (Piwa) was congested and not helped by a RTA of car vs SUV head on. Turned off at Oberniki on the 178 and immediately the traffic situation was better.
Outside Oberniki to suit up for the rain.
I was wondering if I should just head straight to Gdansk cause the missus is waiting but this was a once in lifetime chance to do what I wanted. It turned out to be one of the best days and I discovered a beautiful part of the country full of GS roads.
So here goes. Objective: Klomino. As you get closer you can see why this is perfect for military training. Proper woodland. There is a sign at one entrance to indicate another. Take the first one and you are in off road 2 track road. Sandy and almost binned the bike because of the loose sand. As can be seen on another thread the road is challenging for road tyres. But fear not, a well ridden GS
Another stop for a wee.
Klomino. Yeah baby. It is very quiet.
Regarding the above. I dare not going further because the mud was a slippery as hel. Better part of discretion.
The old buildings. Some of which is now occupied but the big ones are still direlect and beyond repair.
You wouldn't say that you are in Poland.
The following roads and the area that is peppered with lakes, camping sites and bicycle trails is massively beautiful. The roads are a mixture of smooth to bouncy to bouncy with potholes.
Another stop for a wee.
And another. Spotted this little fella totally unaware of my presence until he turned around. Curious at first but then I moved
And from there it was all the way to Gdansk where the missus is. Having BBQ as I type. Not very social is it.
Thanks for reading. To be continued......
