Hi,

Having just posted a wanted ad for a remus exhaust. I then read the reviews :blast It would appear that the best set-up is to leave the cat in place and fit a 'Stubby'
So the big question is. Which is the best Stubby to fit.

Mark

I'm curious myself. :)
(R850r with 'Greek John' performance chip).

Suzuki GSXR 600 stubby look best, IMO, and fits the GS perfectly

I thought the 1150 cat was in one piece with the silencer ? You’d need to cut it.

The GSXR stubby does indeed look good, but just as effective is the bent tube to be found on eBay; no cutting involved for either.

ps - try an ad for a stubby on here, lots have been traded that way.

for best stubby google ,exhaust tech shipley did mine also does cars very very good

As per Stolzy the silencer and cat are separate. So at the risk of stating the obvious there are two different approaches if you don't like the oem fit. Either bin the silencer and fit a stubby, or bin the cat and replace it with a y piece (retaining the original oem silencer or fitting something else Eg Remus)

Fitting the stubby allows you to fit a larger left hand pannier.

Piece of stainless offcut from the local fabricator...
