rhs heated grip

it been on the blink 2010 twin cam std gs for the last couple of days,if i turn the ignition off then on it sometimes comes back on ,and today the left hand side one stopped till i turned the ignition off then on,are they linked does the cambus pick up a fault on the rhs then shut them both down

in my case mate it was goosed ,i had to by a new rhs one from bmw if i remember it was 96 quid ,but yes if they both dont come on then its usually a battery low the canbus detects low battery and wont allow them to be switched on

2010 bike, and in Dec 2017, after several weeks of suspicion about how well the heated grips were working, both heated grips showed "open circuit" on the GS911. It was after my Morocco trip and there may have been some stress on the grips during loading / unloading / getting stuck in sand.... Anyhow, about 200 quid later, they were both working...
