Another good route taking in Exminster, Dawlish, Teignmouth and Shaldon areas and then returning back over the Haldon Forest

Beach life at Shaldon - lunchstop for an excellent pasty, sat by the beach whilst the world went by

Dad used to have a boat down here so brought back some happy memories of yesteryear

Bikes parked right on the red sand beach, amongst the dinghys - nobody minded

So .... a good week of about 350 - 400 miles of road and trail on a 400cc Honda through Devon's lanes and pretty villages, covering from Dartmoor, the South Hams to East/South Devon
Bike performed without a hiccup and always kickstarted 1st time
No punctures - a relief
No falls or dismounts either - another relief not injure myself or damage the bike
New tyres needed - front is down to the canvas
Big thanks to Chris - 2gses for sniffing out some cracking lanes - I must have done 150-160 lanes and they have done more and he's a route master aplomb and the craic on a night
Phil for the laughs and craic too
Chris C for the hospitality over the last 2 nights at his place
Plus Dave and Val for organising the UKGSER Princetown weekend and the craic with all of you who went to that
Been a good week indeed and the Long Drive Home in the Talivan ....awaits

John, you wouldn't have enjoyed this lane this afternoon, what a struggle.

Sixty five green lanes today. Planned an easy day but that went out of the window, had some snap at a cafe on the beach in beer.

Glad you enjoyed our lanes,

Devon Trf,are very pro active, and do a splendid job on keeping the lanes open, wether hedge trimming or tree removal to keep all lanes open,
or working with landowners to help them or us..
We have the best green lane network in the country..

and we always liase with Devon county council and Pro Rights of Way,in which we have a very good relationship with them...
