Over here!
The FD and swingarm / shock bolts are mostly threadlocked from factory. Is a medium strength threadlock necessary on reassembly? I would use on basis of replacing like-for-like, but note that mechanics who have removed some of the bolts in the past have not re-threadlocked them

If its a threadlocked bolt, it should be cleaned and re threadlocked.

However, how many clean the female surfaces as well??

That aside, ive seen them be reused as well.

For me generally if it says threadlock. i use threadlock

I'm pretty sure if you order a new bolt it has micro encapsulated TL on it?

Best thing to do is check out the BWM fiche/CDROM as that will tell you if it should have TL or not.

I put them back as I think they were from factory rather than as they were after different mechanics have had bits off and not re-threadlocked. Would be interested to see workshop manual though. Is there a way of getting this free?

Threadlock them, but think Andres is correct they come with them already done, not do any harm to put a spot of 234 on them. Blue
