As per the pics, crashed then kicked straight for winter.
Mods are 17inch r1150rs front wheel and pirelli angel tyre in 120 size
1200gs injectors, remus exhaust and a agm battery
Test ride today, seat height much better for me at 5ft8, was a bit tippy into corners and roundabouts but that may be because I upped the preload with the 19inch front wheel, starting much better with the 1200 injectors, so much quieter almost like a lc enging besdie an aircooled one, picks up much better and with the 1100 injectors 30mph meant 4th gear now I can use 5th and accellerate from 30 in 5th, the remus sound soo very much better and its lighter.
The remus saved 4.6kg, the front wheel saved 1.9kg and the battery added 1kg

If it were mine, next step would be to bin the beak or least fit an1150 one and change the front mudguard for one that's the correct size for a 17" wheel.

Beak coming off and mudgurd will be sourced, only had 2 hours this morning

Great job.
Just noticed the dry rusting bolts, a blast around with a can of WD40 and an old toothbrush would be good.

I think MikeO is getting mudguards made that fit the 17inch wheel,

I have only had it about a month before the accident, have adjusted valves, changed plugs and oil and made sure it stops.
Next step is going to be stainless bits for the calipers.
Wd40 and toothbrush thanks will give it a go

Looking good.:thumby:

How does that dopey bint see where she’s going with all that crap hanging off the mirror, and a sat Nav right in front of her face. She looks completely vacant.

Glad you’re ok, and the bike is fixed.:thumb

1150 beak tidies up the 1100 front end nicely ;)

Its not a straight bolt on, needs a bit of trimming to clear the screen bolts on either side, and also a couple of brackets made to fix it to the frame. brackets also needed for the indicators if you move them up in to the 1150 cutouts, though you can probably leave the 1100 ones in place if preferred.

Thank you

cheers. it’s not a touratech one, i made it myself using two honda lights and a steel plate. similar to the touratech one but about 1/10 of the price ;)

Looks good... A bit like a chunky TDM :D

tarted using the panzer pig for commuting again the other day,the handling was pretty bad, straight line very stable but turn in was crap with the front wheel seeming to want to go its own way and feeling like it was 5ft in front of the bike, when it had the 19 front wheel it always felt better with more fuel in,so I chucked £25 in last night and the 2 miles home felt exactly the same,so at 5am I added 7clicks of preload,it felt so much better turning in like a normal bike, still stable but no odd feeling from the front tyre,I will monitor it when the fuel goes down.

the fuelling is much better with more power everywhere,no over rich smell even on startup.

The beak is gone,no weight as Sheboygan was in and the bathroom scales were upstairs, may have got some of the battery extra kilo back
