The GPZ1000RX and the ZZR1100 bought back some happy and memories for me snelly.
Had the red and black version of the 1000RX, a beast of a bike. Fastest I’ve ever been on two wheels, after which I vowed never ever to go that fast again.
The ZZR1100 was exactly the same colour as yours, absolutely loved that bike, five years of ultra reliable bliss, oh happy days.

The 16” wheel moaners will be on but my 86 like yours in black was one of the very best bikes I’ve ever owned. Fast and handled and looking great. You’ve now set me off looking at them. I actually put mine in a ditch after getting back from the Bol dor in 87 whilst riding in the dark and trying to light the corners up like the endurance racers. thanks for the memories

I seem to remember chaps turned the chain tension cams upside down to get a tad more ground clearance on them

(Oops, just noticed the top 2 photos have them done)

Loved my GPZ900 eventhough I lost my licence on it :blast. :D

Somehow managed to keep it whilst I had my ZZR1100, feck knows how though. :nenau

Woooooooosh & a bit more woooooooosh ;)

Happy days indeedy..

Thought you bought a 900 RS

Tried one Twizz; and loved it; but it was too small; me and her; and then some luggage from time to time; it would'nt have worked. So i tried the big Versy; and the SX 1000, and loved the SX; like a tardis; could'nt believe how much room we had on it. Fully loaded; 2 up; and it goes like a good un; and with comfort. Looking back; my old RX still tugs my strings tho; and i think the new SX is nearer to that in spirit.:beerjug:

Never had any problems with the 16inch front; in fact it turned even quicker with the adjusters on the S-A turned 180 degrees; by fuck did it drop on it's side quick when you wanted it to. I turned both the RX and the ZZR to give me a level ride hight 2 up with out having to stiffen every thing nearly solid and so leave some suspension to play with. Funnily enough; not touched the SX ; the remote preload adjuster seems to work really well.:beerjug:

Yep same with me and you’re so right about the tipping in. My mate was so impressed that he sold his slab gsxr to buy a red one. Great bikes.

Is that a recent picture; and if it is; is it a keeper :D:beerjug:

Yes,it was taken a couple of years ago and its still in the same nick if not better,
I bought it as a non-runner in 2015 from the second owner it had been stored since 1997 so needed a lot of re-commissioning but runs and rides like new now.
Unfortunately the guy I bought it from did not know why it had been re-sprayed in that colour scheme by the first owner as he had bought it in 1990,but the paint is pretty good and of the period so I will keep it that way.

Nice one. Here we go. Just a few more. About to get ready for the sat night burn up; Parked outside work. And taking the RX in; and Charlie bringing my new ride out.

That's lovely; have a look on U' tube at a jap company called Sanctuary; they have been turning out some great looking stuff; along with this German firm.
