Ey up everyone. About to fit the cb supplied by Mikeyboy and thought I'd look for any tips to make the task easier. Removed the rear wheel for access (rusty bolts now in the dishwasher :D) and have cleaned up the pipes on the cb and opened them up a bit to give some room over the exhausts. They fit OK but the sealing rings slide up the exhaust more than I would like. As long as there's a gas tight seal, it should be ok but anyone got a neater solution?

The oem sealing sleeves have a lip that helps keep them in place.
I used some Zen and the Art strips of alu from a cola can. You could bend a tab from the sleeve around the header pipe or cb to fix it in place maybe.

I used some exhaust paste in case of leaks, just to be sure. That sort of helps glue them in place.

Thanks twg. Cb now fitted c/o a rubber hammer and a couple of mole grips to keep the sealing sleeves in place. Plus some Holts sealant.
