This year will be the 13th Annual Toy Run in aid of Tallaght National Children's Hospital. The toy run is taking place on Sunday 16th December and the meeting place is the Spawell Texaco station in Dublin on the N81 (just off the M50) for 11:30am.

After a quick spin through town (making as much noise as possible!) we'll stop off for a coffee and chat at Northern Cross. Then off to the hospital to arrive for around 3pm to hand over the pressies. If you want, grab a cuppa and a bite to eat courtesy of the folks at Tallaght NCH and then we'll wind things up around 4pm.

It's a great cause and really helps out the kids who spend the Christmas break in hospital.

See attached flyer for details...feel free to print off, pass around and forward to friends etc. - the more folks that come along on the day the better! The Facebook page for the run is https://www.facebook.com/events/1827240054057643/ - all updates etc. will be posted here leading up to the run itself. Please like and share the page to spread the word about the run. :thumb2

Thanks in advance,
Seán

Sean, is this going over the Hill of Howth ?

No, the run will take a route through the city centre up along the Malahide road and on to the Northern Cross...

It's the Women's Refuge Run that goes up to Howth Hill and stops at the Summit Inn pub...

All things being equal I'll be there again.

For better or worse, I’ve ordered a Santa suit at expense. Amazon recommended. God love us all.

:aidan

The suit arrived. Looks good over the bike suit! Trying to figure out a way to velcro the santa hat to my neotec without ruining anything!!

Savage! Electricians tape is the way to go. Good and strong and peels off nice and easy too.

Woo hoo!! Less than a week to go now! Weather God prayers have already been started, it being December and this being Ireland, we need everything we can get!:p

I must go out and get some pressies ASAP. Been up to my tonsils in work this week. :blast :blush

Got the pressies today. Now all i have to do is to find the time to wrap them.

Nice one Frodi! Don't forget to wrap the bike as well - something along these lines!! :thumb

Dunne’s do a nice strip of lights, battery powered for three euro. About 2/3 meter long in red or white. Just saying...

A person on a Ducati going to this event passed a traffic cop on a solid white line . . . . . . I'm told the ticket is in the post :augie

Thanks Hatcho, nice to meet you. It was a great day out and an impressive pile of toys for the kiddies delivered.

It was a great day until we got the "escort" from Rathgar on.
Great meeting up with some year older familiar faces.

What a great day out yesterday!! We had a savage turnout of around 80 bikes with folks coming from as far away as Limerick! It's heartening to see folks make such an effort to help those less fortunate than themselves. There's a giant pile of pressies sitting in the hospital that'll make things that bit better for the kids stuck in hospital over Christmas. So big thanks to all who came along and helped make the run what it is thirteen years after the first one! :thumb
