Can anyone help with a decent match for the silver front engine cover paint code please? I’ve done a black one in situ to good effect, but not a silver version......

The BMW paint code is M960, which you can buy on ebay in touch-up sizes. If you need larger then I've used Hammerite Smooth Silver to good effect. Alan
Mikeyboy had mine powder coated, its not a bad match tbh, even if it was a little different I doubt if it would noticeable unless you're really anal about it.

I had mine powder coated. It looked great, but the problems returned in the originally corroded areas. I think the quality of powder coat varies a lot so next time I would use paint as it can be touched up if needed.
