Right then, now I’ve made my own heated seat for my Honda silverwing and it works great so I’ve decided to do the same for my GSA. I’ve bought a heated seat kit but was wondering if anyone can advise where I can pick up an ignition feed to trip the relay. I’m looking for one nearest the underneath of the seat. I know the canbus system is live after the ignition is turned off for a short amount of time and I don’t want to go down the Denali power box route for one wire. I’ll also have an on off switch anyway so will mainly use that.

Any suggestions.

I was thinking that as that’s what I did on my silverwing but wasn’t sure if it would work as led lights and the relay needs a 12v feed and I thought as they are led lights may take a lower voltage. Not sure

2016 GSA Yes I saw that vid but though I’d just stick a post up to see if there’s any other ideas

There a plug with I think, 4 wires right under the front seat. One of the red ones with I think a brown tracer( I could be wrong) provides an ignition switched 12v.

I tapped into that for the relay to switch my Fuzeblock on and off.

The info is on this site somewhere.

May I suggest CANswitch.http://www.canswitch.co.za/index.html

This way you can program it to only provide power when the engine is running, you can use the handlebarswitches to turn it on/off and you may control the powerlevel using the Wonderwheel on the left handlebar.

Don’t need all that especially at that price. Just a power feed will do me, and a low/high switch which I’ve already got.

A good source is take a wire from the terminal on the back of the accessory socket.
This is low amp and used for triggering a relay.
The power through the relay to the seat is direct from the battery.

Same here. There's a YouTube video of it if you search

Posi Tap is an easy way to splice into an existing wire. Its what have done anyway on my 2011 GSA into the accessory socket to trigger a relay.

ooOOOooo. Like those. Just ordered some. Cheers for that 👍🏻

This what you need.

There is a roundish connector under the rider seat by the tank. Pull it out and you will see two fuses. One of them is a switched live. Remove a fuse and replace with the piggy back fuse. Note i would use this power to fire a relay.

Big Benefit is that when you remove it, no trace is left!

So eventually got around to fitting this. Easy peesy to say the least. Took the feed from the little fuze block under the seat as the wiring and relay for the heated seat easily fits down the side of the electrical magic box located under the seat. Two settings high will burn your arse after 10 mins and low is a nice constant heat. Power turns off after about 30 seconds of ignition off. Highly recommended...took about 30mins to for. Took my time too. :)
