Scrambler 1200

870mm

My magic number... 900mm better but I’ll take 870mm.....

Hopefully it’ll have enough go....

Both of them are 'heritage' lines so as much about looks as anything, and whilst I'd expect the BMW to easily beat the Triumph in performance terms on the road the triumph has a lot more suspension travel (especially the XE). From memory the XE is 250mm front and rear, and the BMW is 125fr/140rear which is a very different take on the scambler and off road pretensions (not that I'd want to take either off tarmac).

Both lovely bikes though :thumby:

RBW.

Will be interesting to compare with my R9T Scrambler when they come out which already makes more BHP/Torque at 110BHP/116NM and weighs in at 220KG wet.

Still have fond memories of my last 865 Triumph Scrambler :)

Good friend ( yes, honestly :D ) has just put a deposit down on one of these ( matt/gloss green ? ).
So, keep your eye's out for his F800GS ( think he said 13,000 miles and in VERY good condition. Yellow 2008 model ) and Triumph 900cc Scrambler ( this will be £6,500 with Arrow exaust and standard etc etc..plus only 2,200 miles or so ) coming up for sale shortly :)

No and next March allegedly ;)

Went to destination Triumph yesteday - mid December for the price, and March/April for delivery .... taking holding deposits now ...

Notice the tank is 4 litres larger then the street Scrambler as well......(which is now up on power...)

The white with green slash is :love

The white with green slash is :love

Can't argue with that, it's a real looker :)

Bloody tall though, this screen grab gives an idea of just how tall Triumph have had to make it to get half decent travel

You (well I) really would not want to off road that on anything more than a nice graded fire track.

It's a great looking bike (not sure about the gold forks though, black would look better?) but feck me it looks big and heavy with the weight very high up, in part due to the large amount of ground clearance.

Off-road - fuck off - it’ll be for pouncing about on!
