I have the same bike but have not used it on the road.
These bikes go well and can cover miles.
I used to tear around on one of these when I was 17.
I remember when it came on here for sale.
I think there was a lot of interest including me but you had the fastest finger.
A lovely bike, good luck with it.

You are right Pat it does goes really well being the full fat 200 cc it’s my go to bike if I fancy a ride ;)you need to get yours on the road you would enjoy it reminds you of why you started with bikes :thumb

Thanks for the shove Will.
I am going to get it done there is not a lot to it. I started to get it ready for rattle can paint touch ups but "suspended" the work.
The engine is perfect.
My last bike project was my Silver Jubilee assembly after powder coat.
This bike has only done 600 miles from new. I am making up a fancy oil filter conversion and installing electronic ignition.

Nice bike.
Francis Barnett, by the way.

I am machining up an alloy adaptor plate for the "oil in frame" and will be using a Mahle OX34D filter from a Merc.
Electronic ign if from a guy in Wisconsin C5.
I have them for the CBX and works well.
Love the BSA. I like the cast iron engines.

Spent an hour on it.
Paint next + polish the engine cases.

I will have to make progress on my V12 Project.
