Hi
I doubt that my Alternator is 100% operational so I need to remove it & check/replace the voltage regulator.
The conventional wisdom of getting to the alternator is to remove the ABS pump. However members of this parish have mentioned that with some knucle skin and a crowbar it is possible to remove without removing said pump.
Well Ive looked and I cant immediately see how it is possible without pump removal since the limited area is crossed with a brake line and removal of the electrical conectors & Motronic unit I doubt that there would be enough provision of space for removal. Or does the "enhanced" procedure require the removal of part of the upper subframe ?
Heres hoping...
