My bike is a R1200GS triple Black (2012).
Just in the process of getting it ready for moving back to UK.
I have watched two videos on u tube and the procedure clearly states the bike should be 3.8 m from a vertical wall, both vids implied this was satisfactory for ALL bikes.
Then read in an article that the distance for the 1200 is 10m
I am now confused and do not want to start moving things until I am sure!!
Can some kind bod help me out please, is there a drawing showing the set up for my bike?
Cheers
Paul

Cheers for the reply.
Just looked at the MOT manual on Gov.uk and it does not state an actual distance ie. 3.8m or 10m.
Do you have anymore info?

I used the data from delboys garage and confirmed my marks on the garage door were correct and the distance away as well. The pattern from the beam needed some adjustments. When I went out this morning and got the beam against a dark fence it had a defined line to the right and a defined kick up to the left

I ended up using the info in this video as well.
Thanks for your help.
