Hi Guys

We have developed a system of ceramic coatings that is ideal for bikes and as we have done a couple of GS’s recently, the UKGSER forum was mentioned and we were told it would be an idea to post up here.

Basically our Aquacoat Pro lasts for two years through all conditions and is temperature and chemical resistant, so it can be applied to cylinder heads, exhaust as well as the rest of the bike, inc. screen, etc. As bikers ourselves, we’d love to get involved with UKGSER members. We can offer a kit for you to do at home, or we can organise a mobile application service or go into one of our accredited pro-detailers.

We are also happy to organise a detailing day, where a few of you can come over and get your bikes done. Full decontamination wash and coating will be applied. As our coatings dry really fast, they don’t require overnight curing, the bikes can be ridden away an hour after applying, we must stress however, that you do not wash your bike for 7 days after to allow the coating to fully cure. Your bike will then be protected for 2 years from UV rays, and the effects of acid rain. This coating is extremely hydrophobic and oleophobic.

We are offering a special deal to UKGSER members to get their bikes done at two locations - Maidenhead, Berkshire and in Garstang Lancashire. If we can get at least 5 bikes over on a Saturday - we can offer a full, professional coating done for £200 using our Ceramic King.

We have this product in at a UK motorcycle manufacturer, and they are applying CNS Ceramic King prior to been shipped out.

For more information or questions I am on 01995 238595 or shane@cns-tech.co.uk:thumb2

Hi Alistair
Thanks for your response
The three products are Ceramic King
Application is apply on our CNS Application suede block (included), onto the bodywork, leave for around a minute and remove with an edgeless micofibre,(we can supply the coral weave ones BTW £3.50 40x40cm).

Its that simple

Bodyguard Ceramic is ideal for the wheels and subrame area,Application as above

Bodyguard Glass coat is for the Acrylics and plastics,Spray on and wipe off.

Regards

From my experience the DIY application involves a reasonable amount of preparation time prior to applying the product. Washing the bike, fine cutting of any dull areas of paintwork and a thorough wipe down with Isopropanol solution (50% solution with water) to remove any wax, sealant or residual ACF50 is the minimum requirement.

if applied correctly its a great protection. I spilt some Koch Chemie 1K nano on a granite step. 3 days later (after the curing process was completed) I could not even remove the stuff with a hammer chisel, the granite chipped before the product let go of the surface bond. If that is any indication of the protection provided to the painted surface, no wonder it keeps my motor-home looking like new. Just take care on matt surfaces or graphics as they can be a bit patchy when viewed from certain angles. Yes you read correct, I treated an entire 8 meter motor-home including the roof and windows (needed 200ml of product), now its easy to clean and very resistant to scratching from trees etc.

Hi Whele,

With any cleaning process, preperation is key.

Our Ceramics are reverse engineered, meaning they dry from the top down.

There are various ways of doing it, our Bodyguard Ceramic Coat can be applied to the entire bike and with every day use will last 12 months. If garaged and used less, it will last a lot longer. We are actually doing a GSA today, which we will film and post up the process. This is being done with Bodyguard Ceramic Coat, it can be applied to all of the bike, inc. engine casing, etc, etc. - cost is £45 on its own https://ceramicnanoscience.com/product/bodyguard-ceramic-coat-300ml/

I can offer members here a full kit which will give you everything you need:

1 x 300ml Bodyguard Glass Coat
1 x 250ml of IPA
2 x Application Microfibres
1x Application Block
2 x Buffing Microfibres

Total cost inc. Postage: £80

Application Process is:

Degrease & Wash Bike
Wipe down with IPA
Spray on Bodyguard Ceramic Coat
Buff in with microfibre towels

Dry in one hour, ready to ride, fully cured in 7 days and shouldn’t be washed in that time, though it can get wet and stay out in the rain.

This is the easiest product to apply in our range for bikes, as it is sprayed on and can reach into all the nooks & crannies sealing them, giving corrosion protection, as well as a wax like finish. As above, I will post up the video when completed today.

Pm or post up if you’ve any questions or you’d like to order.

Thanks for putting up the video, looks like an easy product to use and I'm willing to give it a try so PM on the way.
I wouldn't hold your breath for an OSCAR though :D

????????????

Sorry, I forget to explain things sometimes. Most Ceramic Coatings dry from the inside and gradually dry to the top, ours is the reverse, so it's touch dry within 20 mins or so and dry enough to withstand rain within 2 hours.

Thanks for the video, just a few questions

should you wear a mask and rubber gloves - what the stuff made of? - "made in Korea"
can you leave the Bike/Car outside during and immediately after it has been coated
what's the difference between this and Hydosilex
what does it cost for the car kit, to cover say a BMW 3 series, and does the kit contain just enough or is there enough to do say two normals cars

Thanks again for the video and all the other info

Good luck

Hi Bill, no a mask isn't required and for the bodyguard ceramic and no gloves are not required. All of the coatings have a specialised mix with the main ingredient being Si02. For cars we recommend the Aquacoat Pro, which is dry in 2 hours and can even be coated outdoors as long as the the temperature is above 3c and there is no rain for at least 2 hours.

We also supply 2 nitrile gloves with the aqua coat pro kit, it's not harmful, just that it leaves a coating on your fingers that takes a bit of scrubbing to get off.

The made in Korea - Korea is the home of car ceramic coatings and you'll generally find most come from there,

We can supply Aquacoat Pro as a complete kit, which includes Aquacoat Pro, IPA Solution, 4 microfibre cloths and all the applicators needed. The bottle is 60ml and is generally enough to do 2 cars the size of a 3 series, however this also depends on how much you apply - it doesn't take a lot, just a thin layer. Most of the kits on the market either supply 30ml or 50ml, the thinking being 30ml is enough for the average car. We supply enough to do the paintwork, all exterior plastics and the wheels. If you do just the paintwork, it should be enough for two cars.

Cost for this is £149 inc postage. So this is everything you will need to apply.

Video below of the Aquacoat being applied:

So basically there are different kits dependent on your needs and which vehicle.

For home application, we recommend:

Bike:

Bodyguard Ceramic Kit - £80 (inc applicators, mf cloths and Bodyguard Ceramic)

Cars:

Aqaucoat Pro Full Kit- £149 (inc. mf cloths, applicators, IPA solution, gloves and aqua coat pro 60ml)

Again, if there's any interest in a detailing day we can offer application at one of our detailing studios - as per the first post.

We did another car today, that you might like to see with the whole process using the Aquacoat Pro Full kit:

Have you got any vids of a dirty vehicle that has the Aqaucoat covering, i would like to see how easy it is to clean and how the water runs off.

Haven't got anything like that at the moment, but here's a shot of beading using Aquacoat - this is after 8 months. It stays cleaner for longer, but it will still need to be washed.

Closest video I have, with wheels coated with our Ceramic King coating:
