I'm trying to provide remote access to my son so that he can try and sort my fucked-up laptop out remotely. We spent over an hour last night with me showing him the screen with my iPhone and then doing what he asked with the cursor and keys. We tried getting rid of the HitmanPro for one thing but Christ knows what else we (oops, I meant HE) tried, I was thoroughly puddled. The problem was that whatever was tried we got the message "Not ready, please check your connection" which we did, repeatedly.

Any suggestions would be very welcome. :)

EDIT: By "well bollocks!" I mean that I obviously do have a working internet connection, it was working just fine all the time.

Do you have any Web filters that might be blocking access to the team viewer servers? Could even be something like a firewall blocking access on an application basis.

What happens if you open a command prompt on your laptop and type

ping master.teamviewer.com
