Planning on ripping my cd collection to some sort of device at flac quality that I can access and control using my android phone via a app, budget is a consideration, not looking to spend fortunes on this, any recommendations?

.

I bought a synology NAS some years ago

2TB mirror setup

I have all my cd collection & more on it -

And use spotify instead lol

I have a home built server with WHS 2011 on it with thousands of albums as well as movies, photo's and various other things, but to be honest these days I just tend to use online streaming services for everyday listening/watching.

I tend to stream music using one of my Squeezebox's (I have 3, but one is sitting unused and redundant) if I want something I can't find online - bought my first one 15 years ago and it's still going strong.

If you want plug n play, then a Qnap of Synology is what you're after - there are others WD and Dlink etc...

Happy streaming

D.

I use spotify for free because I do not use it that often, however if you pay the 10 dollars it goes to 320 kbps in Premium

Spotify offers low, high and extreme sound quality for streaming, and all in OGG Vorbis format.

# 1. 96 kbps

• Normal quality of mobile.

# 2. 160 kbps

• Desktop and web player standard quality.

• The high quality of mobile.

#3. 320 kbps (only available to Premium subscribers)

• Desktop high quality.

• Extreme quality of mobile.
