USA Mountains and Canyons 2020

Emails gone out to everyone who has enquired so far.

Here is an initial itinerary of teh trip which may change between now and then but not by much.

For those who have never ridden out in the US, you may be surprised by some of the mileages but these are easily doable out there. Most roads, even the brilliant twisties, are more or less traffic free so progress is generally serene and easy.

That’s a spectacular itinerary 👍 I wish I hadn’t spent all my money on a new R1250GS or I’d have been seriously tempted :beerjug:

A word of warning and a word of advice for Arches.
When going, get up early and get yourself in place for sunrise. The entry booth won't be open, so you won't have to pay to get in, and you'll get the best light for photography, weather permitting. If you're planning on hiking, the long loop at the far end of the park is superb, as most people go to Delicate Arch for the sunrise and it gets swamped by people, kinda ruining the whole experience.
If parking for the long walk have something to cover your seat, as the local birdlife will come and peck holes in it.

I've not had any further info on this trip or the Alaskan one so am making plans elsewhere Chris.
Another time maybe.

PMd you.

May have a mate interested too - so will ask him.

He's away for the moment

I have a couple of spaces left on this brilliant trip.

Get away from Coronavirus while you still can and enjoy the clean air and stunning scenery of the Pacific North West.

Top pic Crater Lake?

Is the second King's Canyon?

Spot on.....Kings Canyon is possibly one of the greatest motorcycling road on the planet in my opinion. It has just about everything.

And the Americans don't go on King's Canyon because it's a dead end! :beerjug::beerjug::thumby::thumby:

I'm also a big fan of the US12 across the top of Idaho.
