Oh dear, oh dear, another 1250 dies

Does a duff battery make a bike bad, well if that,s the case I can name 6 bikes where the battery died, some in less than a year and others between 2 and 8 years, and that was really the only problem I ever had on the bikes, so if I only ever have that problem with my GS I will be very happy....;) and a last point some people think by not riding their bike the battery will magically survive, guess what it wont..:hippy
