Cleaning titanium headers...

A question for those with TI header pipes

How do you clean the brown oxidisation off them? I don’t want to remove the blueing, just the grot that looks like mud all over them.
 
Depending on how bad youv let them go i use autglym super resin polish, its just autoglyms basic car polish, i found it works a treat, if there really bad it would have to be autosol first, if you went lightly youd probably get away with saving the blue, but like i say, it depends how bad they are.

The colouring on Ti is caused by oxidisation during heating, the brown will be burnt on road crud. If you cleaned it to death and had shiney new Ti again the blueing should come back during the next ride.
