I’m in the final stages of the restoration of my bike and have an issue with the seat.
As you can see from the photo the seat pan is in a very bad state and when I bought the bike three years ago I immediately purchased a comfort seat from Motorworks.
This seat has a plastic base and it’s actually 8 to 10 mm smaller than the original and the position for the hinges do not match , by some way .
There are several seats available from various sellers and they are quite expensive. Just wondering if anybody has successfully fitted the reproduction seat that matches the 90s cowl, and if so which one. I would also be interested if anybody has a good seat base that I can buy and use.
Failing that could anyone recommend someone who could repair and weld my very tired base.

Don't skimp on the seat, you have done a magnificent job so far , so IMHO no time to cut corners.

The Siebenrock seats are if anything better than OEM , and you rarely regret buying the best, quality lingers on long after the price is forgotten.
