I'll be heading north on the bike from Munich area to Hamburg area in May/June this year. I've already seen some interesting ideas in this section and would welcome other suggestions of other sites of interest on the route, possibly aviation related.

No particular route planned, happy to do 200-ish miles a day and prefer to keep off autobahns to see more interesting scenery but that's not set in stone.

I've got about a week to do it.

Once on the Baltic coast, I'm coming back down to earth and switching to Kriegsmarine stuff e.g. Laboe and Bremerhaven etc.

Got about another week to get to Ijmuiden for the ferry back home.

If you stop in Nuremberg there is a good museum and a lot of the Nazi era buildings, amphitheater, Zeppelin field etc used for the Nuremberg rallies that are very interesting. You can also visit the courthouse where the Nuremberg trials were held

The historical center of the town inside the city walls is also very nice in its own respect

Nordhausen and the rocket factory and concentration camp (Mittelbau-Dora) thats there, and also Buchenwald is not far away either.
