What do you use to clean the brake calliper bodies without stripping them down, just to spruce them up

I did mine last weekend with brake cleaner a stiff brush then paper towel and a touch of ACF50 which worked really well and protects them at the same time.

And before anyone says it’s not meant to be near the brakes I mean the smallest blob on the towel then rubbed over so zero risk to the braking elements!

ACF 50 is brilliant.... stops corrosion best of any product.... it fine near brakes so long as NONE goes on the disc or pad braking material.....

ones you get it on the disc its like magic... the brakes stop working and numerous attempts with an aggressive brush cleaning thinners wont help …. so you think no worries it'll burn of 50 miles later its still fighting and the brakes are at 50%

The callipers are anodised so brake cleaners solvents are safe. ACF-50 brushed on with a soft artist's brush keeps it protected.

The ACF50 is not recommended for the discs however...
