Derelict PD

You've taken all the value off. Antiques are worth more with the patina left in place.

Oh, and no cable ties. Standard is slipping. :D

What method do you use to make sure there’s no media left in the oil gallery’s etc, I’ve started a rebuild of one of my engines after vapour blasting, but I’m paranoid that I haven’t got all of the media out.

The paranoid method.
High pressure steam clean.
Blow out with compressed air,
Paraffin tank wash
Compressed air
Steam clean
Blow out compressed air
2nd paraffin wash
Compressed air,
Cold water pressure wash
Compressed air,
Dry on heated plate
Compressed air,
Final check with more compressed air under led lights down all galleries etc
Getting the idea?
4hours to clean the block

Just the bare minimum then, no ultrasonic.

Some guys like to do a high pressure steam clean before they dismantle too - some wont even let a bike / anything into the workshop unless it has been steamed first.
Working on the steam cleaner was a lousy job, in the open in all weathers and reserved for casuals, students working their way through uni and apprentices who needed to raise their game - DAHIK

We will see,
I wonder which will have more value, one of my restored machines,or a bike owned by yourself for a few years:confused:

Neither, we won't have any petrol to put in them!
I don't own any bikes, I just hold in them in trust for the next rider!

Forgot to update this one,
Got most of the powder coat back
Short motor built,
Gearbox built,
Starting to bolt bits back on:D

Well that looks a lot better already, have you decided on a colour for the rest of the bike?
