So a nice chap on here has sold me a lovely Remus. All excited I went to remove the original, right I Carnt get the bloody clip clamp thing off, the nut & thread have rusted together, all spanner’s and socket just spin on it as it’s fucked, any tips?????!?!

Blow torch , heat up the nut , extract. Worked on my Enfield head studs . Soak in anti sieze spray for a few days before . If not that dremel the bolt

+1 get it cherry red hot & it will undo - if needed tap on a smaller socket.
Last resort - grind off the side of the nut with an angle grinder - careful not to hurt yourself - use eye shields & ideally welders gauntlets

Don't forget risk assessment, Method statement. :D

Dremel worked, just went through the clip and split it off. Got some stainless items on now, looks much better, cheers everyone.
