I have just phoned Bennett’s to get my original owned and imported 2010 FLHTCU insured so the original receipt, import, MOT, etc; paperwork and cheque can be sent to the DVLA for U.K. registration.

Thought it would be no problem as my 1150GSA is with them already.
But, I am told they cannot do it and must look elsewhere.

Any recommendations?
Thanks

You don't need insurance to register an import (unless you're a NI resident) or to MOT it.

Obviously, you will need insurance in order to tax it afterwards

I was told different as when you register a vehicle you must pay road tax and not SORN it therefore, it has to be insured by the person registering"

Will need to call 5hem up.

Update,
Tarka, you are correct. Just got off the phone with the DVLA. Just the registration fee and road tax.

Yeh.
The insurance (on the frame number) is needed only if you ride it to the MOT to start the import process.

Done it for my HP2 at the time via BMW/Devitts fairly easily.
