Hi all. After some advice please. Looking for replacement stainless steel braided hoses for the oil cooler. Any recommendations on where I could get some?

The ones on my R100R is quite corroded.

Maybe give Motorworks a call? The might have sh parts available? Another option is.to remove the cooler altogether. It's not really needed in our climate (or at all, some would say). Removing it would require a new oil filter spigot (the tube the filter rests on), a new end cover to the filter chamber and of course, a new filter. Talk it over with the Mw guys.

The sump fitted to the bikes with the oil cooler is the smallest ever fitted to a Airhead, on or off road.
Given that BMW increased the sump in volume three or four times , before finally settling on a oil cooler it is a big ask to suggest that BMW got it wrong five times in a row.
Particularly as changes to bikes in production are often made at the request of the warranty department!
It would seem prudent to at least also fit the largest / latest sump that BMW fitted to the bikes without a cooler - just look at it like your crash helmet, you probably wont need the extra protection every day you ride, but you will be glad you have it the day you do!
FWIW I have a oil pressure and temp gauge and a sump extender on my G/S and I can assure you that it isn't only on hot days that the oil gets hot, the lack of forward motion at a decent pace has a much larger effect, and that is probably more likely in the UK than just about anywhere else in the world.

You can get them here https://www.motoren-israel.com/Shop/Oil-cooler-mounted-in-the-center/Oil-cooler-tubes-SS::493.html or if you can remove the old ones you could use them as a pattern and visit a hydraulic pipe maker and have a pair made up - there are a fair few plant repair specialists and suppliers around, and possibly even some motor factors etc that could help. As also mentioned I would give Motorworks/Motobins/James Sherlock etc a call.......

Thanks. What I was looking for.

Have a new oil cooler on order, so should be all good in a week or so.
